Vjestice are starting to publish new songs, one every three months exclusively for radio play. Web-site for the band is under construction - more information will be there.
Working in Zagreb, and a few gigs with the band.
Kyma is Kyma is Kyma is Kyma is Kyma is Kyma is Kyma...
Berlin, Prenzlauer Berg, a place to be.
While staying in Rovinj Sacher is writing music for the first two of the 20 episodes of the documentary series "Croatian Academics"
At the same time he is composing for the documentary about carnival in Rijeka.
After another summer in Berlin, Sacher is back in Zagreb where he continues to work on his projects: the
new poetry book, albums, cooperation with Jurica Jelic, and a couple of documentaries.
Every day he gets more and more thrill from Kyma.
As Sacher is now in Zagreb, Vjestice are playing again.
One of the first gigs was in Ost Klub in Vienna.
Just finnished the music for the documentary film "A Hundred years of the Ethnographic Museum Split".
Work on the documentary TV-series "With Mario to infinity", about the life and work of late Mario Saletto, begins.
Sacher has finally got his hands on Kyma. He immediately canceled his trip to Portugal, and dived into reading a over four hundred page manual.
You won't see him around for a while.
As he is staying in Zagreb for a winter, the "live" album of Vjestice, with working title "Tranzicija" should be completed.
Hopefully he'll be able to use Kyma on the studio album as well.
He has also started to compose music for the documentary "Badnjica u Cisti", with assistance of Jurica Jelic.
In the documentary there is a
field recording of a very exotic local vocal technique called ganga. It remains to be seen if either Kyma or Melodyne will be able to analize
the voicing in case the ears don't suffice. Sacher's plan is to make a SCL scale out of it, to be able to dis-tune synths.
Sacher has finished recording a new album of about 30 songs with a new line-up of his band "Vjestice" (Miljan Bakic, Boris Leiner, and himself.).
Many people have appeared as guests: Danko Buric, viola, Ivana Curkovic, violin, Samir Kadribasic, bass, Robert Lovric, flutes, Mateo Martinovic,
piano, Hrvoje Niksic, keyboard, Janko Novoselic, drums, Jura Novoselic, sax, Assish Roy Nimai, tabla, Nikola Santro, trombone and Ratko Vojtek,
clarinets.
To the dismay of his bandmates, while traveling through Europe he indulges in destroying his "beautiful songs". He applies granular resynthesis,
spectral polymetric delaying, microtonality and some other song-molesting techniques.
The new line-up of "Vjestice" has also recorded the best of the old songs "live", with new arrangements, and some have different lyrics.
This project is waiting for Sacher to come to Zagreb for long enough to complete it.
